This ebook is an excellent ebook on magic effects or tricks if you prefer that term. These will get you many miles of use from them and people will love to know how you did them. Tell them to buy this ebook.
Crow does a wonderful job once more. He has created a concise book of tricks that most anyone could learn in a relatively short amount of time. This would be a great purchase for someone who was getting into the wonderful hobby of magic as it givces you a variety of tricks to master. Most can be done with items you already have, but a few would require additional "magical" elements. This is not a negative though, since most magicians eventually end up at a magic shop or online retailer. I have been practicing and perfroming magic for nearly twenty years and I found inspiration from Crow's "finale" to incorporate into my own act. Pick this book up, the price is amazing and the tricks are great.

Magicians come in many guises and varieties. For example, there are the 'move monkeys' who like the hard practice of sleight of hand; there are the 'dream chasers' who search for the latest and greatest thing.
There are also those who like effective and time tested methods that allow them to concentrate on providing a good performance - this e-book fits into this category.
This book contains a broad selection of effects (close up and 'not so' close up!) which are well explained and have the added bonus of a link to a youtube run through of the effect - not a performance, but a visual demonstration. This is great as it allows you to see the effect without the danger of copying the performance style.
For the money, it is hard to go wrong with this. Ideal for a beginner, or for those who do not want to work to hard at their magic.
I can't really give any negatives as the price point is so low and you get a genuine broad spread of material. This won't shake the magic world, but I doubt it will disapoint either.
Raymonde Crow comes back with another excellent booklet about very direct and visual magic effects that a beginner can with little effort introduce in his or her own repertoire.
As in the first book of what I hope will become a series, Crow revisites well-known, sometimes classical, effects which are chosen on two grounds absence of sleight-of-hand techniques, great visual impact, and a good teaching value for those who introduce the youngsters to magic.
The Author explains the effects in a very clear way, linking the reader to a video where the effects and the basic moves are shown. Reading the text and looking at the video makes everything immediately clear also for those who have little knowledge of the technique, or don't recognize the technical names.
Almost all of the effects are for close-up -except Kiss of Death Monte and a couple others. The former is a fantastic take on the Monte plot, very theatrical, with plenty of nice and funny twists in it.
Amazing Joe and Carnivore Coins among the non-card effects, and "But I'm Alright Now" and Effortless Triumph when we come to cards are in my opinion the best ones. Not to mention Night at the Museum, a brilliant take on a well-known dealer item.
The discussion of the Game plot (`Crow's axiom') is a thorough and compelling review of the issue, useful as food for thought not only for magicians, but for mentalists alike.
This book has only one drawback for this value, its price is severely underestimated. Raymond should reconsider it for the next releases of like material.
Crow comes back with a new manuscript on easy and commercial magic. I like the directness of most effects. He visited classical plots in magic and in some cases improved upon them, in others, he provides a streamlined approach. Most of the effects are close-up. Some of them can surely be applied to stand-up performances. There are 2 effects that are well suited for stage, one of which utilizes a classic prop in a fresh presentation.
Also, Crow makes sure that you have all the information you need to do everything. He explains the sleights and moves making it within reach of all beginners to magic. He also provides good references and credits which will be helpful those who are serious in exploring the art further.
I personally liked some of the presentational notes he gives every now and then. These are gold for any performance.
And the best part of all is that it contains a link to a 15-minute video that explains the effects in the book (not the stage effects). This compensates for the lack of images.
There are some effects that you will need to go out and buy few things (mainly from magic dealers) and that can be a negative to some. (This applies to only three effects)
So if you are a beginner or you need to see some commercial magic that involves cards, coins, rope, party poppers, and choppers, then this book is a great reference.
